Ice is a great horse with an easy going attitude and smooth collected gaits and is a wonderful addition to Horsefeathers. Before becoming a therapy horse he was trained and shown in dressage, hunter/jumpers and western pleasure. Ice may be a paint but you would never know it by looking at him, he’s a bay with a small star and two hind socks. His show name is Skating on Thin Ice and he has lived up to it. He has also been trail ridden and even drives. Even though he is one of the tallest members of the herd he prefers to work with kids and has taught many how to ride. Thanks to Kristi Horwitz - Jarosch for allowing Ice to be part of Horsefeathers.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide special needs individuals the opportunity to enhance their quality of life by participating in a horsemanship program directed by PATH certified riding instructors and a hippotherapy program administered by licensed therapists. We will provide life skills through vocational programming that encompasses all aspects of agricultural life. We will utilize rescued horses whose temperament allows them to be included in a meaningful second career.
