All of our horses here have been hand picked for the great qualities they possess. Our horses are great at what they do and love their job. The program uses highly trained horses and ponies of various sizes, gaits, and temperaments to accommodate all riders.

Ice is a gentle giant. He is used for therapy rides and independent riders. His easy going attitude make him a favorite of the kids. |

Scat is one of the best therapy horse anyone could ask for. He was also a Chicago police horse before coming to our program. |

Tia is a beautiful black Arabian mare who is sensitive to her rider’s aids. Her smaller size makes her ideal for our independent riders. |

Elsie is an ex-race horse that still loves to go. She is a great horse for our independent riders. She is a descendent of the famous Man of War. |

Red might be big but he couldn't be more gentle. He worked as a Chicago police horse for many years before he came to our program. |

Meet the Horses |
|
Calvin is an adorable chestnut and white paint pony with a white face and two blue eyes. Calvin loves working kids, the smaller the better. He is very happy to be starting his new life here at Horsefeathers. |

Poco is recent addition to the Horsefeathers riding program. He is excellent for independent riders, and possesses a very sweet, curious and outgoing nature. Poco’s wonderful disposition and smooth gait make him an ideal member of the Horsefeathers team. |

Little Red is the smallest and newest addition to our program. He is a sweet little chestnut with a quiet and friendly nature, which makes him the perfect ride for our littlest equestrians. |
